Running a compliance scan

The compliance assessment is a useful tool for identifying flaws in the configuration of your systems. The data produced by the assessment is a little complex, but it essentially lists the issues found with a helpful severity rating, along with technical information on how to remedy each issue. This feature requires a significant level of technical expertise.

Compliance scans are remotely initiated tasks, which means you'll need to open the device view and create a compliance scan task. They take between 15 and 40 minutes to complete, depending on the computer's speed and available resources. The computer will need to remain on for the duration of the assessment but does not need to maintain a stable internet connection.

  1. Log in to the dashboard
  2. Browse to a device you wish to run the assessment on
  3. To the right of the device name, hover over 'Tasks'
  4. Select 'Start compliance assessment'
