Node Patrol automatically schedules a vulnerability scan for a device whenever its software configuration changes, it's not possible to start one manually. This means that we'll reassess the application vulnerabilities on a device each time an application is installed, updated, or removed.
Vulnerability scans run on our servers rather than on the client (your computers), this means the scans have no impact on the resource utilisation or performance of your devices.
You can see which devices are due to be reassessed (currently queued or in progress) by viewing the Vulnerabilities page:
You can see if a specific device is due to be reassessed when attempting to view its vulnerabilities, there will be a yellow notification above the table:
